My Lord,

With reference to my confidential

despatch of the 23rd of May, 1930, on the subject of the Trade Loan, I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that notice has been given to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in Hong Kong for a further payment

of £20,000 on the 4th of August, 1930, thus reducing this Government's sterling liability

to £110,000.
